11/6/2008: SASD Students Vote for President

Photograph of student voting The red, white, and blue campaign trail wound its way through the schools in the Souderton Area School District with as much enthusiasm as seen at the Phillies' World Series celebration. Although no Electoral College votes applied at any of the schools, students examined the issues and cast their ballot for the candidate they felt most likely to make the best President of the United States.

The final tally -

Obama: 2454
MacCain: 1838

Darren Smith, elementary technology teacher at Lower Salford and West Broad Street elementary schools, said students voted on a program developed by the technology department and set up by technology teachers.
