Education Foundation

The Souderton Area Education Foundation, a nonprofit community organization, is dedicated to its goal of providing unique learning experiences to all students in the Souderton Area School District. The mission of the Education Foundation is thus centered on helping teachers implement challenging and motivating programs for our children by securing the financial resources needed to meet that goal from individuals, corporations, and other community organizations and foundations.

Since 1992, the Souderton Area Education Foundation has been able to secure financial resources that are then made available to teachers and other professional district staff members who submit proposals for "mini-grant" and "block grant" awards. These resources are sought through various fundraising activities conducted throughout the year including the Spring Dinner Dance and the annual giving campaign. And, just recently, the Education Foundation became aligned with the school district’s chapter of the PA Association for Gifted Education in an effort to provide support of programs and projects in that area.

The Souderton Area Education Foundation has become known in our community as an advocate for student learning, and as a source of vital resources for special learning experiences. Indeed, many of the programs that are now integral aspects of the school district curricula began as mini-grant projects funded by the Souderton Area Education Foundation. In all of its years supporting students and teachers in the Souderton Area School District, the Souderton Area Education Foundation has distributed more than $150,000 in grants to the district’s schools!
