Registration > Student Registration
Parents of new students moving into the Souderton Area School District should report to the Central Registration Office at the District Administrative Offices, 760 Lower Road, Souderton, PA. to register their child or children. Kindergarten registration is scheduled on specific dates in February at each of the elementary schools. However, kindergarten registration at all other times of the year is completed through the central registrar.

Items Needed For Student Registration:
- Proof of age (Birth Certificate)
- Proof of required immunizations
- Social Security number
- School transcript, report card
- Special Education IEP (if applicable)
- Custody papers (if applicable)
- Proof of Residency
Required Immunizations:
All children attending school must provide proof of having the following immunizations:
- Diphtheria, Pertussis and Tetanus (DPT) - three or more properly spaced doses; Measles, Mumps, Rubella - one dose given at 12 months of age or older; two doses of Measles must be given, preferably as MMR2.
Other mandated immunization requirements:

Varicella (chicken pox) - immunity, either from vaccination, history of disease or laboratory testing for new school enterers (kindergarten or first grade) and for students entering seventh grade.

Hepatitis B - three properly spaced doses for students entering seventh grade.
Kindergarten Admission
A child presented for enrollment in kindergarten must be 5.0 years of age on or before August 31.
All children registered in kindergarten must have completed the following immunizations before entry:
- Diphtheria, Pertussis & Tetanus (DPT) - four doses with one dose administered on or after the fourth birthday
- Polio - three or more properly spaced doses.
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella - two doses, one dose given at 12 months of age or older and a second dose of MMR2 is needed before entry
- Hepatitis B - three properly spaced doses of Hepatitis B vaccine.
- Varicella (chicken pox) - immunity, either from vaccination, history of disease or laboratory testing
- Every child in grades K-12 must be immunized, unless exempt for medical or religious reasons.
Reminder:
All students who were born or lived in a foreign country and are entering school for the first time in the United States need to be tested for Tuberculosis before they may attend Souderton Area School District schools.
